Love
Which tingles my skin cells and makes them crave for more precipitation from you…
(Predictable)
I wake up to your rhythmic nostril melodies and fall in sink with your unique pattern of high notes and low notes as you compose your morning snooze
music
(Irritable)
Your eyes
Beautiful.
Mesmerizing brown mirrors that reflect every glimpse seen with golden innocence
White hardened dust outlines your deep chocolate skin
torn rivers
waking alive in pre morning light
birds singing exotic trills
my mind thrashing with raw emotion
and burned memories
charred and sooty
they cling to my throat like choked tears
love fills my eyes
and spills from my hurting chest
i cling to my emptiness
and walk the hall of ghosts
hearing their voices soft and soothing
seeing them warm and hollow once
more
their touch
their laughter
i shiver
and turn over
Nothing
Katydid
Scent
officially insane for the touch
protruding through the bushes, the eyes of the beast embrace me.
come on, love and honor this creativity..
lonely and bruised.
silent and used.
bereaved and overwhelmed with loathed desires.
breathing and taunting all these unstoppable, dreamless fires.
icy moutains of monotonous hopes.
creaming cause between my legs , so now u will invoke
dont push, behold this release is what you need
fruitful desire. please wollow indeed
forever in my chamber with every segment dispersed to you.
lovely hope and murderously real
Tears
Tears
By Alexander Duque
Why my tears fall I can never explain.
Might because I’m in such pain.
Tear drops as it falls to my cheek,
Some are bitter and some are sweet.
As I cry in tears I feel so sick.
As lay at night I couldn’t sleep,
Thinking of something deep.
It makes my body so weak,
So I write and fight instead.
A tear flows when I’m in sorrow,
Seems like Ill never see the sun tomorrow.
Emotion I have just couldn’t hide,
Release what I feel inside.
REMEMBER WHEN
Remember, back when black people were friends Because we only had each other then Back when we wore buttterfly collar shirts Platform shoes and mini skirts Back when the press an curl was in And wearing big afros was the trend Back when Malcolm was necessary And necessary was Malcolm you know when everything was on layaway And layaway was on time Back when Motown was the sound and Stevie and Smokey were laying it down Back when we had hool-a-hoops and hopscotch And plenty of doubledutch on the block When black families were united And believed in black power and never tried to hide it Back
THESE SHOES
Most of the time people see you and judge you, without knowing what is on your heart and mind, making comments about the shoes you wear, because they are worn and leaning to the side Laughing saying how they would not be caught wearing raggedy shoes such as these, although for you, it is a blessing, for you to have these shoes on your feet For not everyone can wear these shoes, they are yours and fit you just right, there appearance should be the last thing on your mind, while you have them in your sights Just to walk in some elses shoes, is extraordinary within itself, history comfirms,
