oh africa
you who has awaited for an outsider's approval
to celebrate your worth,
when you stopped breathing
you allowed your seeds to go
without any directions,
they hid themselves behind bushes
runnning away from those who claim
to fight for the day you will be left alone
to fend for your own children,
children who looking for something
not many could provide .
WHERE were you ?
when a young boy was initiated into a murderer
Read the rest of the poem Show less
for your independence
you deserted you people
in their time of need.
so independence came .......,
with her friend corruption ,
who was sold to the hungry
by your perpetraters
who many thought we were fighting
but encouraging to thinks of us
as barbaric
you gave them an excuse to stand on podiums
and take no responsibility for dehumanizing
your people.
your curiousity welcomed them
and they invaded your sanctuary
and took away with them
the one thing that proves us
to be of the same mother,
our humility .
now you have be patient
before your young ones come back
to you ,
acknowledge the wrongs of past
and they will acknowledge the fact
that their are yours.

on TOO SCARED from @Professor Purple
"Very enjoyable. Some parts seem to speak of my own life. A few details though: "I’m scared of my dreams become a reality" would be better, grammatically, as "I’m scared of my dreams becoming (a) reality" (the "a" is opt…" -
