to love you

I love you so much
that I have dropped the previous expectations
of a perfect man
I have forgotten the me that I used to be
I let go of her
so that you will love the new me more
the one whose tomorrow is yours
the one who smiles when you have disappointed her
you live for you while I live for you too
but every day I wake with the same thoughts
what became of my dreams ?
where is the girl who did not merely exist but lived life ?
that girl saw you and lost herself in your voice
when said "I LOVE YOU".

This is the first of...

your work I have read, but I will be sure to read more. I really think that many people are trite, and repititious when writing of love. You have however, written of it in a way that speaks of the power of love, with it's foibles. Great work! ~ Geezer

I am...

I am always honest with my opinion of someone's work. I don't feel that it would help the author to be otherwise. After all, this is essentially a work-shop, and dedicated to the betterment of our work, and without honest opinion, how could we learn? ~ Geezer
