"Just Another Day"
Closing the door to another day
I look back on my old ways
I wonder what I did to deserve such hate
And if this pain, is my sure fate?
All these endless nights of tears
When will I be saved from my fears
Why have I always been on my own
A little girl, forced to be grown
"I love you," are words I no longer hear
And if I do, they are no longer sincere
I'm on my own, I have to fight
Maybe soon, the darkness will turn to light
Read the rest of the poem Show less
People see me and they don't know my pain
So I hide it, and my tears must refrain
Sometimes I wonder, am I even sane?
Hopefully there is something left for me to gain.

Thank you for my smile.
" Slowly, she awoke to another day. Nothing was special about this day. Blinded from the past that haunts her dreams, she smiled. She smiled the smile that she has known all to long. The smile that covers all the pain, the sorrow, the reality that is hers. Nobody knows how fake this smile truly is, they go about their day, thankful her smile exists." -
