"Snow"

Beautiful and inviting, suggests purity

Cold and heavy, a blanket of uncertainty

Soft, gentle flakes fall from the sky

Gathered on the floor chilling our lives

Dangerously beautiful as it crashes down the mountain side

Almost as if symbolizing the pain an beauty in life

The cold invites me in, as it is familiar to me

How wonderful warmth must be, but cold is all I dream.

The blanket falls on the trees, as if a fresh start

When the sun comes, we are reminded of parts

Slowly I allow the beauty to unfold

Recognize the individual flakes as they mold

Amazing how free you feel, as you walk across

The new ground, embracing all the frost

Breathe the cold, crisp new air, breathe

Feel the chill, embrace the will, just stand still

In the snow, I allow my soul to feel

The sparkle of the ice as it melts in the sun

The glint of something special ….

It's a newfound beauty your soul has won.

Hi EyeZ,

as you know, I really like this poem. Now, why has nobody commented? Maybe a title change is called for. Newfound beauty in snow or Embracing the cold would be my suggestions. Yours, ~Nina P.S. is there a "d" missing in l.6? (an=and?)
