What the angels said

Sometimes, I just close my eyes
I gotta imagine what it feels like...
Sit back- listen to doves cry
Let the thoughts consume my mind
As i slowly begin to realize,
There is amazing beauty in life
So I continue to try,
           to do what feels right.

But, when I open my eyes
See the sun shining bright-
This is the last time
I have no control in my own life.

I Begin to grow tired of looking ahead,
Everyday struggling to get out of bed
Constantly afraid I'll end up dead.
I just gotta remember what the angels said.
I play it over and over again in my head...
"Remember to love, and to love again,
for hate and love cannot be friends."

Like this--

good use of end rhyme to drive the poem along and a positive but still realistic message. I especially like Stanza 2, which reminds me of Albert Camus. My only complaint is line 3. You can write. I want to hear your voice here, not that of Prince. The capitalization and punctuation is inconsistent but it "speaks" fine.

Love those last two lines here

You wake up each day and continue to write as this is well worded and always remember the angels get up with you also every morning. Keep the writing alive and somehow I hear you singing this tune. Magics2 aka Ms Mona
