Tha Sands of Thyme
Waiting.
Waiting for tomorrow.
Waiting for my roots to take hold.
Waiting for my leaves to sprout humble buds.
Waiting to exhale a breath of fragrant zephyr.
Waiting to be harvested and dried in the sun.
Waiting 'till the planting time comes.
Waiting for my posterity to be scattered to the four winds like seeds.
Waiting to see them grow.
I am still and always shall be,
Waiting.

"Interesting concept. I like the way it read up better than down. "Metal blemishes" and "concrete pores", good use of metaphors. One catch, "We should be worried if we weren’t in pain." I think it should read "We should…" -
