Vampyre XXXI

Sleeping in dark shadows
Dreaming of the one who'll set you free
Waiting for your shining knight
How could you know that it was me
As I stole into your life
One stormy midnight black
The Prince of  Darkness I've been called
Blood red moon behind my back
I swept you up into my arms
And carried you so far away
From all your tears and all your pain
Now with me you'll always stay
Where I'll hold you closely in my heart
You'll never want to leave
I'll give you all the love you need
And in me you will believe
All I ask of you is everything
I will take nothing less
I absolve you from your sin of love
As on your knees you will confess
And as you give your soul to me
With my blood I'll wash you clean
Kiss away the tears that blinded you
And show you things you've never seen
For I'm the answer to your prayer
I alone can take your pain
Then renew your hope that all's not lost
That you haven't lived your life in vain
I'm the only one who cares for you
And it was I who heard your cry
All my love I'll give to you
And all you have to do is die.

nice.

Very beautiful poem but i would rethink the title. Some people are detered by blatant refrances to vampires. All in all, a lovely poem. "Theirs is not to reason why. Theirs is but to do or die." - Charge of the Light Brigade
