From the deep wood
I know you will tell me you are
somewhere
a window once held the frame of your face
I look at the wood that once held the deep secret of a forest
long gone to make the borders of this enclosure
the sun alone finds a way into
if only time could be undone through some kindness
mushrooms and the deep moss hide
before the sharpened ax fell to silence
