A Mad Mathematician

the imaginary number a mad mathematician discovered a number that does not exist. still he thought it was beautiful he poured it inside a symbol so that we could see it too we did not notice that its beauty was slightly diminished by existence a mad mathematician [in the sky!] concieved something inconceivable and poured it inside a symbol so that it could be touched and kissed and even concieved and written into equations of love and hate men and women.... the imaginary number I.

Hi

What a quizzical write. I have never been one for maths, sorry. I did enjoy the read, and from that, I gather we are one, or equal. Making me use my brains, lol. Lyz.

We become 1...

Gosh darn it you proved me wrong ... I always thought that Douglas Adams' 42 was the answer to everything in the universe! I think if you divided it by your soul, added your mind, subtracted your body, multiplied it by your heart and then squared it with your spirit then you'd always find the same answer... take any number and put it to the power of zero... what do we get? 1! This an excellent write indeed, we are one world... and should be perhaps one country, one nation and one heartbeat... then we could all truly move as one. But we are all unique so are one within ourselves I think... our own world. You have waved your magical wand and cast a hypnotic spell on the readers so we all stop and stare at the sparkling silver-lined one shapped cloud hovering in the sky. But really like you say shouldn't that be cloud 9? lol! Excellent ditty and love the brilliant metaphorical usage and the format and flow of this piece. bravo... you mathmetician!
