Forever in your eyes

Am I child enough, my love
To fall with you,  in the wild grass;
Breathing your dandelion scent upward,
Into sunblankets of  puppied  love

Can I learn a softer language
Then your stars on tippy toes
Speak,
Watching  your evening shadows
Tall,  with forgetting the long hours

As
Into the  shock of moon I fall

Your lips secret professed
with their strong liqueured press

Dripping into pages
Awakening  again the lavender smells,
And incense springs,  of lilac mornings

Awaiting your roses to unfold in the first
Rays of touch

To sleep again ; new  with you,
Tucked in each others hearts;

Till ever is a tiny word;
forever in your eyes

I've come back to this

I've come back to read this again. It is very good. The imagery you used lends to the sense of emotion. You used a lot of scents, I like when a poem uses the senses. Nicely done. raskin

Yes I like the roundness of a poem that speaks to as many senses as possible because it helps to place you in the feeling of the work; like a Molotov.Barry ,,,o,,

Beautiful imagery. Felt like I was there, almost a peeping tom. Nice use of the senses, as raskin said. Keep 'em coming! ~ Gee

In the cabbage patch eh! And lilac mornings!

Dear Barry, I suspect you are no child, and yet your spirit is just so, as tumbling through the grasses as they blow, we know who speaks of it, and so we go to the wilds to see what there lies hidden beneath the bridge, the pond now covered in green reeds; and there behold the grasses are laid down, where she and thee paid fair compliments and thus resound the trumpets of the flowers their bowers heralding the coming of the Spring where all swains have a rite, to sink into their new delight and loose their hearts beside the stream. You toe licker you, wow ,no one has EVER licked my toes what have I missed Barry-O'? I loved this comment:- "Need time to ponder through the walkways of your words to feed my senses on your tactiles… I will return" Seabhac In the cabbage patch eh! Where cabbages and Kings reside! And the purple veins of growth sound drums of music in the gentle rain. "Watching your evening shadows Tall with forgetting the long hours" ...tucked into the pages of pressed flowers their scents escape and permeate the air with breath of love. heavens above! We're floating through your dream or seem to Barry-o' and feel like Queens.

Love poetry should be most

Love poetry should be most about the one who inspires it. First you need to love yourself enough to have somthing to offer. Never love yourself more than a blade of grass (or less.). Learn the mystery of her eyes, In which you will learn the unspoken secrets of her heart. Always walk side by side with her-- never in front, or behind. When you touch her always make it a prayer to the gift of her love. Never touch her with less then all your heart. It's never about performance. It's about intimacy, and laughter. The rest takes care of itself. The ten ways to love a woman. with respect with music wiith honesty with trust with faithfulness with devotion with understanding with silence with dancing with Loves endless joy, and tears; oh yes and poetry; but thats eleven. Barry:

Great poem! The words are superb, the use of images and figures, excellent. You've become a tremendous poet, I bet you have given a thought in publishing a book. You'll do it, sooner or later. In the meantime, congrats on your progress. Sincerely, Hugo
