Born To Me This Christmas Day

My son of perfect innocence
my little dove on wings
together we’ll be facing
many unknown things

This day I honor and welcome
you sweet tender child of mine
already tugging at my heartstrings
together we’ll surely shine

Incredible warmth as you find my
breast replacing your new born cry
as you inhale your first life’s
breath I gaze into your eyes

No longer silent strangers
into this life you’re hurled
my brave new companion
welcome to our world

Failure is not an option

Much to the chagrin of those who
would prefer to lay witness to
one’s failures

Imagine not for the slightest
moment that our will has become
so weak as to allow compliance

Where once our vision may have
been clouded and our boundaries
seemed forever shattered

Know in the end that our naked
sense of vulnerability truly
is our saving grace

For it is that woundedness
if you will that lends itself
to a higher awareness

It takes 26 days to get to heaven

My angel came from heaven
though I had to give him back
Too soon for my liking
for it was out of my hands

Please let me hold him
I want to brush my lips
against his cheek
But it was not to be as he
would be gone in a few short weeks

He would not die in vain
I kept telling myself
He’d not be forgotten
on some dusty shelf

The second chance

The second chance

Wakeing up to a new life

Learning from your mistakes

Shows you how much life is worth

You can never give up

Never just say I’m done

You have to keep pushing

You have to keep trying

Life is give and take

If you don’t give

Life will take

Until you think you’ve breathed your last breath

You never know what all you shouldv’e done

Could’ve done

Enjoy every smile

Love every second

So you leave life behind with a smile

Self inflicted blues

This day I grow tired
and so incredibly weary.
My heart holds only dreams
of a life unfullfilled
A life not nurtured,
yet barely a glimmer
of the spirit that once was.

I do have memories of somethings good
-not all bad,
But the fear that I am alone
is like a fingerprint on my life.

Shadowing, waiting to pounce,
always there, unshakeable.

It’s the mirrors that hold me accountable
to my actions.
Proof positive that where ever I go
there I am,
Naked, vulnerable, and yes
still alone.

This Hate....

Where was this Hate born? Out of Eden she came.
That single piece of fruit,
Filled with knowledge of a different tale.
As the serpent whispered bittersweet
Truths into the ear of the maiden,
How was she to know that it was Lucifer’s deceit?
And that it would one day lead the race of men,
To murder and defeat. Suffocation, Decapitation,
Someone’s last breath is being taken.
The innocent’s blood is being soaked in damp earth,
And now a lover’s Final goodbye will never be heard.
Where was this Hate forged?

Tears Must Fall} In honor of the Virginia Tech tragedy

Unlock your sorrowful tears
let them flow like a raging river
From the depths of your being
howl like a wolfcub who has been
Abandoned by his pack

Ask for the comfort you will
need in all the days to come
Keep that expression of sorrow
with you as long as you need to grieve

It will bend of it’s own
accord when you are finished
Allow yourself the unhindered crying
your soul will require to heal

To make sense of things grasp your
spirituality as a way of sailing
far far away from the utter
horror of it all

Falling

Falling to the ground

My hair stringed and tangled

Slowly my hand reachs my head

Tips of my fingers

Running through my hair

Pauseing for a moment

My eyes float around

Picking up my left hand

I wipe the sweat from my face

Inhaleing deeply

With a quick release

My heart starts to pound

Barely able to face the sound

Holding my ears

Clutching them tightly

Pulling my knees to my chest

Gasping for breath

Chockeing, grabbing my neck

The colors slowly fade

It's Time To Be Born

This special time before
you can kick and squeal
seems like bliss to us

There’s an eager silence
building around your
mother that will soon be
shattered with your song
of life

I yearn to welcome you
deep into my heart as
a very treasured gift

My dreams of your intoxicating
smile already tickle my
tummy like the feather of
a baby dove being slowly
drawn across the tip of my nose

Awaiting your arrival are
dozens of fluffy, frilly,
soft, lacy pink garments
we shall wrap and keep
you warm in

Light

The light in my heart

It has been there from the start

The love you gave me

It gives me strength

When it is dark

All I have to do

Is let you in

Theres no other

Just you baby

Can’t you see

Your the love

Love of my life

I’ve got no worries

Because you wished them away

I love you

More then you can ever understand

You are that light

The light in my life

No longer am I afraid of the dark

My heart

Beats just for you

You are my light
