Divine longing

When night falls, the bird of my soul longs for home,

It seeks the harbour where it flies to Your dome.

I am an unanchored vessel and the echo in the chamber; who am I?

I am alone with the sweetness of remembering You, the warmth of Your presence makes me sigh!

A Dance of Two Swans

Water ripples and flows.

Wind stirs and lulls.

Once a scruffy cygnet,

Now a shimmering swan.

Elegant, pearly feathers,

Drifting through the water.

Bright, colorful dances,

But only one moves on.

Poised with radiance and grace,

Yet heartbreak still latches on.

Those soft feathers yearn,

To once again feel,

The cold water rippling,

And the favonian breeze settling.

Never to happen again,

A dance of two swans.

I’ve lost my homeland

I have lost my homeland!

I wish I were upset,

I wish I felt even a little anger,

so I would know I still love you.

I shake this old numbness in my canteen;

it sounds like sand.

I have lost my thirst,

only one hand remains of

on my chest, on the pocket of your letters.

I wish I were fed up, or upset, or longing,

so I would know I still love you.

I have lost my homeland

in the sound of sirens,

Silent Fire

There is a silent flame in my brain.

It's helping it heal.

Had to reframe how I felt inside

Getting stronger through time

Going from low to high

Had to learn to physically climb again

Moving from the end to the beginning

Oh, it's been tiring, but it's been worth everything.

Change is something that's consistent.

Keep being persistent

As long as you're listening to your intuition, you will turn your power

into existence.

Happy trip!

What's a day, but to make you happy,

send a thrill down somebody's spine!

You can take or give emotion,

find a way to create a new smile!

No one knows what will bring emotion,

to another's face sublime!

Just release your intuition,

everything will fall in line!

Shout it out in jubilation,

tears of joy or smiles so bright!

Coming from your heart,

brings spectral light.

Be content now,

in your knowing,

You're approved

in everyone's eye's!

Teardrop

A single teardrop rolls down her cheek.
It holds a thousand words, none she can speak.

She takes a breath, swallows hard, wipes the tear away.
The flood she holds inside will keep for another day.

How long for, she doesn’t know,
but when it comes, you’ll see
a raging torrent of waves flowing out of… me

What a frightening day that will be.

The secret dance!

I guide my hand
to the parts of me that tingle,
to a secret place of tender graze.
A gentle touch of pleasure
like soft whispers
in a hazy way of soft sleep.
Tingles begin to grow
with each finger that dances beneath
a touch of pulsing desire blooms.
The softness fades into a rhythm,
deeper with each dance of the moment,
until that pulse starts to race
a storm of my own making of pleasure.

Demolition by Text

My thumb was swift, my judgment blind,
I bared the cellar of my mind.
A text detached from all restraint,
designed to make a vicar faint.

It detailed gossip, raw and deep,
a secret I was sworn to keep:
Our cousin’s plastic surgery,
and Uncle Bob’s fresh perjury.

I meant to send this toxic draft
to sister Sue, so we could laugh.
Instead, I watched with frozen dread,
the pastor’s name right at the head.

It went to Pastor Timothy—
A man of grace and piety.
The lethal arrow left the bow,
and time froze in the status quo.

Unmask The Batman

Every day I put a mask on
Wet, charcoal black
Exfoliating skin
Worn in public
A stern visage
It frightens strangers
The mask now removed

Vanishing in sunlight

Like an antihero

I'm faceless again

My Heat Stroke

The moment I open my eyes in the morning,
the thought of you appears in my mind
before the light reaches my sight.
I make my bed knowing
you'll mess it up later.
I can still feel the warmth of your touch underneath my clothing,
even though you never undressed me.
I perfectly picture our last encounter,
the hot weather
evaporated our sweat drops.
Vanilla ice cream seemed like the only possible solution.
For some reason I tasted nothing,
maybe because I was too distracted
from sitting on your lap.
