Woody

There was once a mutinous,

Horridly delinquent bird,

I’m told (or so I have heard),

So named, quite briefly, Woody.

And when Woody did not

Like whate’er his mama did

Or said too much a lot—

Or if she tied, instead of

A square, a granny knot,

Or gave him a merited swat—

Woody would not deck her,

But Woody Woodpecker.

no idea

I’ve no idea how much

all the paper weighs

that lies so heavily upon

my cluttered desk.

please tell me,

my dear friend, sir,

why you persist in asking

for my paper weight.

and thus

chance favors

the well-prepared mime

who makes the fewer mistakes

in his unversed outtakes

and can open up his heart

to a higher form of art

and thus more

kinetically rhyme.

Capital Punishment

raging cruelty
bellows deep within
the skin that
wraps you up

inflicting pain
is your reward
for giving birth
now I know why
my middle name is hurt

Daddys Boy

my mind
is an
incomprehensible
and fragile arena

your constant
attacks
upon my psyche
have left me cowering
under my dead mothers skirt

and my father
cannot help himself
as he adds his scorn upon
my ever fragile landscape

I hear his hatred filled words
as he repeats those dread filled words
mummys boy, mummys boy
I always knew, I always knew

Withered

White roses fade

under summer’s sun.

Soft petals speak

of heart’s desire shunned.

Passion’s bloom once sweet

lie fragile

fallen in wilted retreat.

Love’s fragrance blown

withered beauty dies

alone.

THE BURNING (Impact Verse)

TREES FLAME
AMID PRIMAL ECHOING
BEARING WITNESS TO EARTH’S
PLAGUES AND CANCERS
AS THE RAUCOUS WORLD
BURNS

暴露〔天啓〕

I love it when you tell your lies
Because you know I can see right through your eyes
You say you like the wine, but I know your taste
You pretend to smell the flowers, only to hide your face

But I know you, and I don’t want you back
I still feel you; your hearts weight breaks my neck
You were more than alive-
Just realize it this time…

I love it how you play every hand
To bluff, you just don’t understand
That when your love is on the line
There’s no net to catch your fall this time

Heart Seams Tear

Taking control of the soul you break away
Becoming one in myself I am inclined to say
I have a heart worth loving but you cant be the same
What is this life that I live worth if I cant have fame
I have nothing to present myself with and no one to fall on
I had the world around my fingers but that’s the last thing I want to hold on to

You pull the love from my heart
And refuse to help it restart
This world is filled with cowards and lovers
Its only the innocent screams, I fear
That let these heart seams tear
