A whisper of breath
breaks the silence
A whiff of the sweetened air.
I stare.
...a strained gasp
The sun sweeps the room
caressing your skin
A caramel kiss I crave.
You stare.
...a soft smile
The dust dances in the air to the distant melody

A yearning that echoes in defiance,
yet never came to pass

You fade, a remnant husk
A rift in what could have been.
An unfleeting memory
edged on the horizon of my mind
I remember. A hollowed souvenir
A flashback bereft of existence.
Spawned of my idleness
surviving only as a distorted antiquity
The cold reality closes around me
You were never mine
Just the whisper of another life
I dream had come pass.

About Me
About me
I am based in Cape Town South Africa.
I work as for one of the big university's IT Department, in Security. I started writing when I was 12, most of the things I wrote then were lost to time, guess that happens when only single copies exist(lesson learnt, a few times). I do not know where my writing is headed, but I know it's something I will be doing for a while and with that, why not get better.
My ability to enjoy a book is usually hampered by my own mind getting side tracked, so it's been a very long time since I managed to finish anything I start reading. Little habit I'm still actively trying to break, it's probably one of the few ways to grow in writing, so definitely a must.
I'd like to thank you well in advance for any comments on my work.
