I'm Overwhelmed

It was immediate.

A hole-in-my-chest,

“I can’t breathe,”

Body-deep agony

That rose without warning.

It wasn’t symbolic.

It was a physical,

Drop to my knees

Kind of torment.

I can imagine,

This is what being buried alive feels like.

Suffocating under the crushing weight

That is grief.

I wish I hated him.

It would be so much easier

To hate him.

Grief

They say losing a child is the worst thing for you.
Unfortunately, by experience, I can tell you that’s true.
But is our pain all different?  As is
The way they go.
Either a hero of war
Or lost to disease.
Is All acceptance the same? When we are dropped to our knees
Is it worse not knowing why they took their own life,
Or will vanished unknowingly,
Bring the same strife
Is living life any easier
With a small glimmer
Of hope?
Or taken accidentally
By a dose of bad dope?
The loss all consuming, for a parent left behind.

Holy holy holy

Holy holy holy
Is my Father
He is the one that
Keep us alive every day
Holy holy holy
We are finally having the good weather
Every day
That is a bonus for us
Also Father we had so many
Sleepless nights
We are feed up
Ho holy holy
Do something about our sleepless nights
My Father
Holy holy holy

Carnival NIght

Carnival night

Is so bright,

with pretty light,

such a delight,

especially at night.

Kids run,

to and fro,

with no place to go,

to see the clown,

who has come to town.

Play a game,

win a prize,

it does not matter,

the size.

A large cotton candy,

sure is a dandy.

A ferris wheel,

way up there,

ride it once,

for a scare,

ride it twice,

if you dare,

then you throw up

waking lights

"waking lights

The room sits in its late-hour weight,
charcoal settling where the boards dip.
A latch sticks; the cold has worked at it
through weeks of short days.

The radio mutters through the same reports.
Outside, the yard is a sheet of dull metal,
the shed roof taking the last scraps of light
without giving anything back.

Vermeer knew this hour -
how a wall keeps its colour
until a single line of brightness
slips across it from nowhere expected.

The Severed Wings of Midnight

The golden sun is but a heavy chain,
that binds my spirit to this weary shore.
I drink the bitter cup of mortal pain,
and find I cannot taste the light no more.

The vapid words of ghosts begin to fray,
a cacophony of grey and mindless noise.
I watch the shallow hearts of men decay,
tossing aside their broken, earthly toys.

The silver gates of slumber call my name,
where velvet shadows drink the burning day.
No more the flicker of the waking flame,
I cast this leaden, iron shell away.

I sink into the void’s eternal throat,

Quiescent harmonic symphonic overture

maestro Kant imitate
nor to save himself from existential nihilism
cause there exists a Hume mung guess
gulf of fallaciousness
alternately titled: a retrospective review
randomly selecting an outdated poem
stored within Google icloud queue.

Tryouts starring musical prodigies
and/or an attendant conductor
attempt to approach ambient chorus
divinely exhibited
from Gaia's handiwork
heavenly invoking kapellmeister
magnificent nonchalant outlook
piquantly, quintessentially,
sensationally striking repertoire

BLINDED BY THE BLIGHT

they're robbing you blind to invest overseas

the profits are higher, they prefer the Chinese!

you're stupid and lazy

a third of you crazy

you'll be razed to malaise as you please!

the brew

The Brew

I look at the machine.

It’s... plastic. Black.

Waiting.

You take the scoop.

Now, this is important. The grounds? They have to be... precise.

If you don't... measure?

Well.

Disaster. Obviously.

You pour the water. In the back.

It makes a sound. A gurgle. Like a... wounded bird.

But efficient.

The drip.

...

The drop.

...

It takes... time.

And then? You drink it.
