Canticles and incense
holy litanies Gregorian
kneeling in fear to Mystery
Sacrifice and Suffering
Attrition for Sin
accept what is given.
Fire and brimstone
it's all the same.
Who holds the keys
to the Kingdom....
Ambiguous, hazy,
blurred by distance, is
a place of which
the mindfulness of total peace
haunts me.
And I am homesick,
but I don't know where home is.

i.
The notes are ingrained
by the blue petalled flames,
burning them into my bones.
All other colors fade,
detach,
suspended in a waking dream.
Here, in the lingering lucidity,
this maddening gnaw of pain
leaks the little whispers,
stealing rhapsody from pleasure.
ii.
Tightrope treachery,
a daringly dancing gypsy
spinning about on a narrow wall.
A burning star,
she leaps...
leaving shimmering stardust
in her wake,
balance risked for the
momentum of grace.
Sometimes in darkness late at night
questions and doubts assail my aging mind
as I search for Truth's clear light.
To my own faults must I be truly blind?
I'm aware time edits memories
else how could I live with past mistakes,
pervasive as an autumn breeze,
lessened for peace of mind's sakes?
That athlete which I recall,
I doubt that I was quite that good
when I played football in the fall
cheered by folks within my neighborhood.

he
the old world sheets
full of the daze
of morning
a lonely fat fly
drones
the fan searches
swirling a blast
of warm damp
air
like old bathwater about
glittering it tickles her
toe shakes it loose
continues down the
dream
Magical Kalypso Dance
No lust, just a prance
no frustration of breast feed
it’s just a demonstration
all views are were lovely
at the Kalypso's beach
where the sea was out of reach
but all in bikinis
serpentine
as in the airports immigration lines
all viewing with swallowed saliva
at the beauty around
and
gals and guys with almost nothing on
was a sight......
as when a gal
breast fed her kid
under the shade of a towel
held by her hubby,
boy friend could be...
Heart has hardened
Soul is black
Devil says he's got my back
Venturing out
Sadistic world unknown
It's time my demons be known
The fight is on
Can't turn back
Damage I've done threw me off track
Men dead
Shead a tear
Demons say to persevere
Hateful heart
Demented mind

As if you were
flying
and to plummet towards the ground
the effervescent dirt coming forward so fast
that I smiled
because they judged
from sullen corners of dark rooms
with no existence of a reason for them to judge
and,
To think for one minute
as if you weren’t
dying
to pick up a comb
from the dirty floor
and to mop a little,
not to clean, but to be entrapped
by the rhythmic movement
of the task.
Simple and pure
Life from the line in a country far from here
Together we flew international cross the sea dear
Until we sat in some foreign shop shelf
Patiently waiting to be needed our self
When finally that magic day for us did arrive
First thing we did was go for a refreshing drive
Then a walk to our new home made of brick
And outside to the garden to give a ball a kick
No matter how far we will go,
deep in our hearts we'll always know
that you'll be waiting here
to welcome all of us home
We see the faces of harmony,
different races, one destiny
in the land of opportunity
where there can be equality
Over the years, we do our part,
stand together, heart to heart
as we built a better life with our hands
united as one as fellow countrymen
