as time stood still

My pen finds pause
my body is broken,
a weighted horror
cleaves my breast

The strings of hope sliced
as I put dreams to the sword,
but hands now whisper to stars
across a fabric brushed heaven

Tomorrow is a lie of mysteries
today is in the now of knowing,
Like burning comets the pain
thrashes into my hearts core

A journeys end now nears
the roads all find dead ends,
revived from a morass of mourning
eyes are filled with oceans

HIDING BEHIND MAMMA'S SKIRT --edit

HIDING BEHIND MAMMA'S SKIRT

There is no honor, no bravery
no courage nor will
in death's agony;
only fear and the loss of the self.
The soul sickens in its loneliness
and the mind hides in shadows
of fantasy and delusion.
A deep sense of alienation
begins the final disconnect.
we wait and wonder until
we can wonder no more.
Our voices are lost in echo
to a silent and indifferent universe
and then with our last breath
in desperation and hope
we call for our mother..

Erotokinoscene

heavy is the wind
the humid breath
the light struggles
in a drunken maze
to soothe upon the
bridge between
where your wings
would lay
The golden hair
splayed up and free
from the vulnerable
neck turned
the arms resting
reaching
alluring like the lush
mantle curtian
a jellyfishes lullabye
with every becalming
hush

Will of A Fighter

This earth is my battleground
where I face the demons within
to rip away the dirt that I've found
which binds me to treacherous sin.

So many voices of doubt and mockery
trying to chain me to the burden of despair
as I seek to find my own identity
by reaching for my dreams, scattered everywhere.

I have met hypocrites with poisoned tongues
who pretended to be my friends indeed
and after all the promises they have sung,
they leave me bleeding in my hour of need.

A FRIGHTENED CHILD

Late within a sleepless night
moon shining through the window bright
I perceive a bird descending
in a flight near never ending
its dive giving me a fright.

For I was at grandmother's house
back when I was a mere mouse
underneath strange covers shaking
all of my false courage quaking
laid bare bravery I'd espoused.

The night crow perched on window's tree
seeming to stare in at me
with eyes which seemed to read my soul
as I laid peering out of my bedroll
frightened of what I might see.

TRIXSHUREFIXSTAR

out on the bowl of the valley
the moon alike walks the
wires like a star
Gleaming cold and shimmering

a thousand images of light
alive in the dream
fill the silence thick as emptiness
quiet as a scream

the cold eats your concerns
snaps it up like a coyotes yips
the stones uneven or the sand
draw crooked the step
its a battle to feel the awful sky
to stay upright
best to stand still
letting all the spirits flow
compress
sniff your heels
give you a test

BANKED EMBERS

Outside the daylight slowly fades
calling forth the end of day
while we sit here on this old couch
supper eaten, dishes put away.

T.V. on, some old reruns,
just for background noise you see,
to relax the past day from our bones.
I squeeze your leg, you smile at me.

Through the glass doors stars appear
as the trees outside slowly turn black
and the details the world dissolve
all while my fingers trace your back.

Anarchy

I do wonder about anarchy,
what it really means to society.
Is it truly chaos as many believe
or a chance to embrace relief?

Is it so bad to live without a government,
to be devoid of any tax payment,
to protect each other without coercion
from the law's judgement?

Do we really need a group of people
to take our hard earned money
for our way of life to excel
and we could coexist in harmony?

neopololitan charlene

busy business wrapped in silk
the oil from the workings
hemmoraging
in her purse the cartridge
cigarettes
the bandage and compresses
soaking the slow torn wound
sutured by a steady handed
friend
the morphine winding down
into the heady sickness
and dizzyness of its lair
like a worm winding steady
never sleeping blind
and keeping
the aisles clear

a jackal on the edge of
dusk
something you dont want
to see
