E*l*e*k*t*r*u*z

Rain slides flowing
gutter slush
while streaks of neon
fire spit and flux

Dandylions and roses
then our rubble
lifes scythe cut
down the wheat
and left its stubble
crayon made way to
pen
then Ink driving dipped
the needles a visual
link
pierced pains palette
tender winter flesh
each scroll of emotion
a map of ambrosial
sea

SOUNDS OF DARKNESS

Stealth eludes my old tired legs
as I traipse through last year's leaves
in deepest woods where silence begs
to be maintained on winter eves.
My noisy footfalls spook all here.

Soon aches and age demand a rest
a beech tree appears where I might sit
as the sun begins to journey west
taking the last of midday with it.
I recline where a stream is near.

Obdurate

I am disconnected, a broken circuit...
With no light behind my eyes.
This apathy has made me certain,
Of where our untrodden path now lies.

Once normal glances turned suspicious,
Gazes avoided, emotions slide.
Attacks of isolation vicious,
I search for an abstract place to hide.

But these fleeing feet they find no refuge,
For my shield is now what shuts me out.
I do my best to try to reach you
But I cannot breach your wall of doubt.

all wars of attrition

Attacked from the front
I took a hit to the heart
again and again the blade
slid through flesh and veins

Each volley of grenade attacks
were launched from on high,
targeted to tear apart weakness
designed with hate in mind

Like a lamb to the slaughter
perched on the fabric of heaven
I saw not their missiles deploy
once twice, thrice I am laid cold

Even the words of god
were used against my faith,
even the sacrifice made
in my name is recinded

H u m b e r z

fourescent...flickering like the ghost tongue
like winter
like a ridge
of darkness blocking lights of shore
the rise and swell
like death at your door

wake eletric
wake dread
wake alive
light like water
creeping

stare into the hours
tree trunks
familiar

Meeting of The Minds (with Geezer)

In the doorway she stood
without a care.
His expression priceless.
As if he never saw someone
floating in thin air.

She watched him stare,
despite the jagged tear
Self-inflicted from ear to ear.
Still this handsome fellow,
showed no fear.

Bloody kisses
caught in the breeze
He thought her head,
may fall off with just one sneeze.
Her decaying heart skipped a beat

Her voice is in his head now
She speaks without a sound
He doesn't know just how
But he likes having her around

Dismissive Jerk

You never cease to amaze me
You ask for help
But never accepts it.

You requests my expertise
Then slams it as useless.

I can't win with you
You view me as unworthy
You dismissive jerk.

SAILS AND OTHER THINGS- edit 2

SAILS AND OTHER THINGS

I saw a ship cutting through
a sea Aegean blue
sails full and wide
catching winds from lee side.
Suddenly it disappeared
as suddenly as the years flash by
that fade into some distant sky

Moon Flower

White snow July on petals of down
Light flutters off wings of fae.
Vine climbs, entwined to form ladder
Of kindred steps to play.

Open after heat, sun begins to yawn slumber
A birth of the moon-light mother.

Kissed by glowing orb, a bedtime story for the sleepless. Not to be grasped in heavy hand, it's beauty is keepless.
