Luv? Stay away

i do not want

To hurt you

But you insist

On forcefully pointing

My weapon of

Unfelt emotion

At your heart

My weapon of choice

I will fire.

Returned to Darkness

i was born into lies

And deceit,

You knew this!

So why

Did you think

i would not know

Where I was

When you took

                                                Me back there?

Mask in Darkness

Mask in Darkness

By Alexander Duque

A soul mask in darkness,

A treasure I search for long.

A raw flesh so pure

Inner corpse,

I’m not so sure.

Sweetness is a mystery,

Reveal your true identity.

As I shovel deep inside,

To Unveil,

The enigma you hide.

The treasure I have found,

Is not what I expect.

My Eyes dilated;

Body shudder;

Fueled inside with rage.

Invisibly there?

Invisibly there?

She sits alone, with no one to listen

No one to see her tears that glisten

On the ends of her long lashes

As the memories come back in flashes

She sits alone in a silent world of despair

With a soul in a constant sate of disrepair

She seems so lonely, so very lost

At her feet lie the letters she will never post

This silent, yet strong woman

This fragile yet solid person

Broken down, abused by a man

Darkness of mind, darkness of soul

Darkness of mind, darkness of soul

Darkness beckons to her, its long reaching fingers

touching her to her very soul

its the darkness to which she may not surrender

no matter how much sweeter the prospect

darkness invites her to come, and rest

darkness promises her to eternal, blissful rest

it assures her that her troubles will be left behind

no more pain to be felt, no more ties to bind

darkness, the sweet, eternal friend

just for this minute

hold on for a moment

a moon horned and brilliant

pressed on a thousand mile sky

give me that look

those serious eyes

flanked by borders of mascara

so green and deep

where do they lead too

let me hold you here forever

sunlight sharp flooding in

from a city valley

lake is a pan of mercury

vivid and alive

polished keen as armour

drag my hand into the shadow

of the glass cliffs

before i can utter my words

ABOUT THE HENS TEETH

round about they go again

tailess and agitated

fed with syrup drops and alphabets

could i scrape one wall proof

shadow dancing through the halls

sing their brand of mimicry

and audacious authenticity

perhaps i need another shot

to close my eyes and see

let loose my carnaged carnivore

to roam about

be free

Break Not My Self

please don’t
assume
and don’t
push your
preaching

into my
essential
sacred space

I am
content
with
the place
were I reside

in these
precious
moments

calmness
slowly
spreads
through
my veins

and
occasionally
baptises
an ill looking cell

you always
do
assume
that
I am
in need
of your

attention

which
then

kickstarts

your pulpit
preaching
self

you haven’t
assessed
the situation

Don't !

don’t catch my
thoughts

you’ll become
a host

and spread
my disease

of deep
         despondent
                        depression
                                       to everyone

Sunrise

A special memory of Caribbean time

To mark the moment I write this rhyme

We sat on the beach twas early morn

Gemma and I to watch the dawn

We gazed in silence at the sight

It wasn’t day it wasn’t night

A shining orb rose with no fuss

A brilliant sight to welcome us

The warming glow as if to say

I’ve come to light the new born day

The beauty of this shining star
