…HEAVEN, HELL OR PARADISE?

Hunters strike in the darkness
Endless fears and tears fall
Approaching the abyss
Vengeance promised to all
Entertaining the audiences
Nameless suffering and wars

Hummingbirds that fly
Eternal flowers from the sky
Life that goes once more
Light succeeding darkness

Only the strongest survive
Remembrances of all the suffering

I'm Afraid

I'm afraid,
Oh, you who reads,
I'm dreadfully mortified
Of when that inevitable call to provide summons me
That I be helpless to move.

The Moon

The Moon cried an onyx for me
knowing that in spac I'm free
looking for the right answer of life
because I know where I belong

I looked up in question at the stars
trying to figure out who you are
I saw my tears in the moon's reflection
and know that there is some fear in my eyes

I love you so much my heart aches
but the fear is building inside me
please try and understand
I'm the product of the Moon
and please it is too soon

here we go passing by (tbr)

"here we go passing by"

Coal-bright heat
pulsates a primal beat,
this light burns white
in the squalid night.

The windswept fury
in a drunken flurry,
toppled kerosene lamp
leaves the table damp.

Morning slips in sly,
waking the bleary eye;
pollen grain breezes
peddles raucous sneezes.

The Quiet Between

The world is a roar outside our front door
Chasing the pasts of who we were before
But here in the hall, with our shoes on the floor
I’ve found the one thing I don’t have to search for
It’s not just the lightning, it's not just the spark
It’s the way that you find me when I’m lost in the dark.
I choose the you that the world doesn’t see
The steady, the messy, the wild and the free
Beyond every promise, past every vow
I’m loving the person you’re becoming right now
Through the high-definition and the grey in between

The Day I Didn't Disappear

Rewriting Memory

Amidst the smoke and mirrors I now see clearer
Our paths were meant to cross, connect and intertwine
The image of what once far somehow seems nearer
In echoes and reflections of what left behind

But that was me back then as I remember when
I tried my best not to be noticed I’d even hide
And yet those with a keen eye saw me with my pen
Broken and mending while smiling on the outside

Aetna medicare advantra representative...

informed me reassuringly,
(albeit surprisingly) enough
the insurance company
would pay the entire bill
and pay the wife
a handsome insurance premium
if my sixty seven year old body failed to wake,
but the physical application
meaning implementation
and point of contact,
she forewarned strong pain medications,
primarily opioids used for severe,
short-term, or cancer-related pain,
often requiring a doctor's prescription
due to risks of addiction, tolerance,
and respiratory issues,

One tree

It stood when Christ walked earth below,
Its branches wide, its ancient glow,
A living thing of sky and sod,
A quiet work of nature’s God.

Magnificent from tender birth,
Rooted deep in patient earth,
Yet all that rises, all that lives,
Returns at last to what it gives.

Through countless years it reached the light,
Through storm and season, day and night,
Now laid to rest upon the ground,
Its end becomes what feeds around.

…NONSENSE…

The gibberish poem
Of the “lonely toons”
Makes me remember
The funny cartoons
Rabbits mocking
The "angry birds"
Under the siege
Of the hunter’s gloves
The whispering sounds
Of nature foundations
Point me the way to desperation
And once more I find myself
Beneath the sky
Of a tiny shelf
That puts me apart
This is the time for disruption
Above the raw models of consumption
The city walls that protects me
Is my sepulture beneath
That defines me

safe sex

you are genuine and kind though i’m not sure where to stand
is it next to you in line or on top of you in bed?

your face- i see you smiling and my cheeks are turning red
i can’t help but push my fingers in, they slide right past your lips

i can’t escape the memories
you should know how bad i miss
the smile on your face when i told you how pretty you look like this

i can’t escape the memories of you
i want to live inside my head
if it meant i could love you and relive all those words you said
