Brylcreem and brittle bone
sticky out ears, on the car phone,

this goddess of twilight time;
her actions do tell
of my personal hell,
what she's doing to me is a crime!

It's hard to be someone who cares
best to have a heart of stone
for those who love hurt too deeply
each time they're left behind alone

There've been too many gone before
and each one took a part of me
some times I feel I'm just a shell
of the whole person I used to be

'Till now I look around and see
dwindling numbers of the ones I love
how many more must I out live
and be left mourning like a dove?

there was just no option
but her concern

we resumed another honey moon,
at an age others would smirk
but unmindful of the world
we walked the garden path
as before

I'm not sure what
American freedom
costs the rest of the
world. Seems like
there's always too much
blood following that convoluted trail
through to an ugly, impartial
truth. The man in the mirror
must lie to save his face.

I'm just too uncertain these days
if
capitalism is the
best that freedom can
buy.

Let the fireworks begin! Celebrate.
