Why are you brittle?
Just weakened or little?
Or splendid shine just fragile
Shooting light swift and agile

Tiny flame in darkness
But touched ready to bust

SHADOWS PASSING

In a dark cave I sit
and what I see beyond
is all of the world I know,
I was born blind
to the mystery of existence
prisoner of my own perceptions.
My mind cannot imagine
what it has not known.

Am I the child of a God
or just a shadow
passing through time

TO BE HUMAN

A day can be a lifetime
a moment an eternity/
we enter this world
fighting to live;
we leave much the same
calling for our mother
to comfort our agony
and tale us away,
All is mystery and uncertainty
our faith begins to wane
and courage fades into fear
But this is what we are born to do';
other footsteps we must follow.
So let's make the days that remain
worthwhile
and live until it is our time.

five forty five AM. i am awake now.
i lie in bed for two minutes and dread the coming hours

and no seat is provided for those who hand out snowboards.
