The Banned Elasticated

The Banned Elasticated….
She tightens the band to help the vein,
inserts a dirty needle deep.
pressing the plunger she chases her pain,
not long now she’ll find sleep.

Her body ravaged gaunt abused,
childhood memories she’ll not dream.
Score payed from corners cruised,
she’ll wake tomorrow inside a scream.

A life that was found not chosen,
hard to function from a broken shell.
Body feels like water solid frozen,
liquid hard inside an unyielding hell.

Imagery Workshop

Imagery Workshop
"Wild Geese" by Mary Oliver
You do not have to be good.

You do not have to walk on your knees

for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.

You only have to let the soft animal of your body

love what it loves.

Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.

Meanwhile the world goes on.

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain

are moving across the landscapes,

over the prairies and the deep trees,

the mountains and the rivers.

Our Golden Anniversary

Our Golden Anniversary

It was as if yesterday
we met each other fifty
years away
‘twas the best day of our lives
we gladly can now say
half a century has lapsed
in the beloved arms of Time

most of the passage was only happiness
Inter-twinkled with some trying times

Today we are flowing like a river
50 is not just a number
we still hope to be coy
do join me in a toast
all aboard Ahoy

chaos

In search for your love, I found the chaos which was you. You set my soul on fire so that when there was nothing left I burnt out. You left me with the darkest of our memories but brought to light my soul. The ashes of our love balanced me to outgrow the chaos which was your love. A.L.S

A rewrite of Geezer's poem (imagery Workshop 2)

Like a newly coined cent
sun rises in the yellowish sky
I know why, the Japanese have lent
Godhead to the angry eye

It sizzles, burns the dulling brain
to a spot
In the sleeping forest it rains
on the islands of the Nippon

Glorious warmth now is born
spreads a shy timid-light
night now has fled
leaves damp tracks on the lawn

The taste of green is folded
wrapped in scented leaves
Steamed in the light of teacup
while shadows are fearful thieves

Specters

autumn wind blew strong and the night leaves
cast shadows like hands scratching ground
the sounds were the sounds of old echoes
who whispered their way into terrified ears
while hearts feared all the trees would come down

the moon hid unlit behind black sky
mars, red-faced, escaped his jailed form
the giant was there, nonetheless
and his essence escaped, away, light years to fly
through that sky's dark and grey crying clouds

The Bridge

Purple dusk draws in
and they stroll
the same stretch
at the north end where
modern council buildings sit
on a corner of Bank Street -
incongruous against older
grimy granite structures
striking in their splendour
the road that is a bridge
buildings gripped close like
a medieval pagent bright shop
fronts apeing booths of years
gone by just no knights on horseback

• One Call •

Do not panic,
If I die tomorrow.

You do not know,
Why my call was so urgent?

You do not know,
The works of my hands.

For my Maker;
Will stand me up
Like a lawyer.

To know if I'm
Guilty or not guilty
On this last day.

For there will be,
Two roads for me to take.

One may lead me to fire,
And the other to Ice.

For they will be,
No choice for me to choose
The place I stay like home.

Even if I point up,
My Maker may point down for me.
What will be my say?

She The most BEAUTIFUL SHE

She came just to teach me
how to enter
the domain of poetry

then as my seeds took roots
she vanished into thin air

she loved not me
but my cadence ah essence
soothing to her wounded heart
the guy who said
loved her
did he finally secretly depart

Then one day multi storms came
like harbingers of another tsunami
she went away along with the waves
but left no smell of any slightest of trails

since long gone beyond
the foreseeable yonder
she has gone
taken my love along

Up All Night...

Night wraps around long shadows
colors them darker still
His soul huddles with magic
bending it to his will

Crouching in the darkness
his eyes glowing faintly red
The blood of his victim clotting
as he sucks the eyes from it's head

Crimson fluid flowing
tasty as can be
He slurps, swallows and belches
ready for course number three

He finds it hangs where he left it
like a spider-meal wrapped in silk
High in the tower of a castle
a snack, like cookies and milk
