IN THIS WAR-rewritten
IN THIS WAR
There is no honor in this war
no valor. No medals to be won.
and if we fight we fight from fear
courage is the mask we wear.
we struggle when all dignity is gone
and hold on scratching earth
kicking and screaming all the way
before we let go hurled into some oblivion
dying is the legacy of all birth
and from our beginnings to our end
our mind lives a waking dream
streams of perceptions and views
puppets on broken strings.
what we call hell is our own humanity
heaven the dream of nothingness.
and the soul is the bliss of hope and innocense
