Here she lies,
all broken and battered
after a night she will not soon forget.
Her lover in trouble and full of regret,
he now thinks they should of just watched the sunset.
Alas, they may still be here if it weren't
for his corvette.

About me
I am a mother, grandmother and wife from Oregon. I am 51 years old and I have a dream to be published. I have spent the past 32 years raising my family and now I want to explore, what I have been told, is a talent of mine. I love to read, write and journal. I have been through a lot and I have a lot to say about my life and trials. I am hoping to learn from other poets and to sharpen my skills too.

Favorite Poets
I love Ullie Kaye. I feel like she gets right into my soul and puts a soothing salve upon it and its sadness. I feel like she can see into me and she gets it.
