Pretty Close to Perfect
Summer days I will remember
Summer nights I can’t forget
Your lips so sweet and tender
And your body…it was pretty close to perfect
Pretty close to perfect
Pretty close to perfect
Mmmm, so close
You took me by my hand
Led me like a little lamb
Showing me the secrets that you knew
And your love… ohhh…was pretty close to perfect.
Pretty close to perfect
Pretty close to perfect
Mmmm, so close.
Read the rest of the poem Show less
And even then I knew
There would never be another girl like you
Just because.. you were pretty close to perfect
Pretty close to perfect
Pretty close to perfect
As close as any girl can get
Kisses, wine and love that’s true
Clouds, mountains, me and you
Messing just a little with my little boy mind
The promises in your smile were pretty close to perfect
Pretty close to perfect
Pretty close to perfect
God made you pretty close to perfect

"You convey the mood of axiety. The movement gives off a scary vibe for me. It's like the writer is manic. But he is calmed down by writing." -

"Would It Be So Wrong" by @c lynn brooks
"It's free verse for sure. The only conclusion the reader can arrive at is; "No, it wouldn't be so wrong"...to grab some happiness and love regardless of the cost. Jim" -
