the first words written
for six days
he toiled
on the seventh
his assistant Peter
took charge
of the key
He said,
"Keep watch
I sleep and call it
sabbath"
the master slept
and Peter gathered
a chorus of angels
inspiring them,
to give thanks
in chamber
they worked their craft
all day, their voices
carving architecture
fit for god,
Elohim
when dawn arose
on Monday,
there for all time
stood the Guf
crafted by the hands
of angels
and filled with souls
by his mercy
and as spirals
of time
coil the earth
the Septuagint
found its first book
