I Do Not Believe
If you said the sky was blue,
I would insist that it was red,
If you said the children were hungry,
I would state they had been fed.
Do not say the weather is nice,
Because I know that it is bad,
You are lying if you say clowns are funny,
We all know that they are sad.
If you told me the sun set in the West,
I'd say "Fool it's in the East!"
If you told me you liked Easter the most,
I'd say "I know you like it least!"
Once you said you loved me,
Your eyes looked sincere and true,,
But once I looked deep in your soul,
I knew the liar that lived in you.
I can not believe a word you say,
You spin fairytales and lies,
So when the truth rears its head,
It will not come as a surprise.
I would insist that it was red,
If you said the children were hungry,
I would state they had been fed.
Do not say the weather is nice,
Because I know that it is bad,
You are lying if you say clowns are funny,
We all know that they are sad.
If you told me the sun set in the West,
I'd say "Fool it's in the East!"
If you told me you liked Easter the most,
I'd say "I know you like it least!"
Once you said you loved me,
Your eyes looked sincere and true,,
But once I looked deep in your soul,
I knew the liar that lived in you.
I can not believe a word you say,
You spin fairytales and lies,
So when the truth rears its head,
It will not come as a surprise.
