I am Home
The golden glint touches my skin.It rises higher in the blue heavens,Forever is dotted with candy clouds. Singing softlyThe wind carries my silent prayers…“Come back to me”. Green grass rolls out in front of my tired feetThey’ve carried me so far,Over rocks and hurdles unimaginable. They seemed never ending…impossible. The diamond tears roll down my weathered faceBruised by the stones life has thrown. It was painful,Unimaginably hurtful; You can’t even begin to comprehend. As I look to the heavens…The vast forever overhead,I smile and finally, truthfully say…“I’ll be okay” Though the bruises remain…The pain is gone… I smile at last and realize that it is all overI’m home…Finally…
