The Perfect Storm
Unleashed irrationality slashing
cutting
like a serrated knife
jammed through the spine
slowly sawing
on the very last nerve,
just awaiting the snap
before the fury of the storm
is released
raging
like a maddened beast
tortured
beyond endurance
until in desperation
it turns
lashing
like a metal studded whip
at the unprotected back of a child,
exploding
into a nova heat
of blindness
burning itself out
of existence
leaving
nothing
but
ashes
cutting
like a serrated knife
jammed through the spine
slowly sawing
on the very last nerve,
just awaiting the snap
before the fury of the storm
is released
raging
like a maddened beast
tortured
beyond endurance
until in desperation
it turns
lashing
like a metal studded whip
at the unprotected back of a child,
exploding
into a nova heat
of blindness
burning itself out
of existence
leaving
nothing
but
ashes
