Ocean's Passion-updated

OCEAN'S PASSION

On river’s edge

I stand to see

Muddy waters

Dark

Slowly rushing

Past me

Churning heavily

In quick slow motion

Steadily

To Ocean’s passion

On river’s edge

I stand to see

Clear waters

Frenetically in flight

Past me

Crystals of sunlight

Dancing

Steadily

To Ocean’s passion

On rivers edge

I stand to see

The singularity

Of human destiny

In this God’s world

Different ways

A river we twirl

Steadily

To

Ocean’s passion

I like this idea, hope I haven't overdone it!

Ann of Norway The all embracing passion of the vast and everlasting (in our lifetimes anyway) blue-green-grey-gold-OCEAN, its magnificence awakes our most strong sensation of existence, it is but water and yet such a body of liquid that enthrals and causes us to be inspired to call its tempestuous dance and calm oscillations, omnipotent. So here the theme of your poem, the first verse is where you stand at the source of the stream that becomes the river, often the river of life is used as an expression of eternal, perpetual motion, as is life ,until we cease to live, and are still. The churning of the muddy waters, the flow across meadows through woods and deep valleys; ever moving to the sea. The second verse where we find ourselves in frantic turbulent waters, the sun is able to reflect lights of joy and peace with the contrast as you sees down into the clarity of its depths. In the last verse you are standing alone, having experienced the story of the journey of the river, this epitome of destiny, and the final goal of all living things which, in their various ways, and in their ever changing motion gain the wide and wonderful release of anonymity swallowed up in the passion of the Ocean and begin our new journey into the unknown. And who knows, we just might become a raindrop that has risen from the Ocean to start the cycle yet again. Oh you sure got me going here Longobardolino!!! Mi scusi? I think I have overdone it....... J.B. Longo-GeremiaThabk you,

J.B. Longo-Geremia Thabk you, Annuccia and Mona. I eliminated the llalst 2 lines. It is NOT me. Too trite and "forced" "Ocean's Passion" needs to remain oppen-ended to interpretation as a metaphor Joe
