Keeper of the flalme II

KEEPER OF THE FLAME IIIn the corner of this tiny spaceI placed a box of photographsSome oldSome newName and year carefullyWritten as best I couldOf each immortal soulSmiling to a worldNow gone.Old passportsBirth and Death CertificatesBirthday cardsChristmas cardsCards that said I am sorry for your lossBabies’ books with locks of silken hairSalvage of times past.I wrapped a book of our family treeAnd papers filled with confidentialitiesThat I knewStories of a broken heartA shattered dream or twoNo choices then for manyThey did what they had to doThese “souls” behind frozen smilesI called Fedex todayTo take it all away
 And send them to another

Who iwill be Keeper of this Flame.

Dearest Joe

My dear man, this is a really deep poem and sad. We all have these things to do, like you, I have not long done this, I just felt as you, needed to. Your words are a pleasure to once again read and as is your face. I am so missing your jokes, poems and sometimes a hint of a laugh on the breeze. Thank you and I do hope to see you again. Love to you. Lyz. XX

Bloody better, lol.

I know it has been difficult for u of late, but I must say, we are a selfish bunch, we love u around and I am ecstatic that u have taken the time. That is very much appreciated. There seems to be a few who have left. Many for unknown reasons but I wish them all the best. Jade is 7 months now and i got to see the ultra sound of a little face, feet etc and even its full bladder, lol. Well dear one thanks for replying, I dont expect you to but I am thrilled you did. Love Lyz. XX

You now carry the flame in your heart.

Ann of Norway The Fire Lady.- Mirwani the Australian aborigine woman who kept the flame going, did you ever see that film? She mesmerised a young girl from the immigrants family and taught her how to keep the flame burning. It was one of my favourite films of all time, so beautifully done and so sensitive, the family took back their child after a few years, but she was changed for life, now endowed with the sensitivity to nature that the old Aborigine woman had taught her, and now the flame is yours, and you carry it in your heart.
