OF THE HUMAN KND
Submitted by Longo on 18 February 2010 - 11:17am.
OF THE HUMAN KIND
I follow my whims and fantasies
Still earthbound
By
My singular reality.
My poetry
Are thoughts and words
Imagination and visions
Streaming color and light
Through a dark prism.
Like a ship on the high seas
I wander
In waters calm and deep
But
More than most
In a sudden Winter storm
I am broken and torn
I am exceptional and wondrous
Ordinary and lost in many
Yet
I celebrate my unique humanity
Ex pluribus unus
As I begin to fall
From
The edges of Infinity
Razor sharp disillusion
And
Ecstasy to have been
Body, soul and mind
Of
The human kind…
