WHITE FALLING IN LOVE

"White Falling in Love"

white falling

white light

white weddings

white fright

such beauty

such wild delight

such suchness

in muchness

in darkest night

so softly

so silently

one upon one

on each patch of ground

on each little mound

tumbling down

from the trees crown

like love from above

its beautiful weight

that lunges

and plunges

to settle its fate

its the stars

not the flakes

that fall in the night

the Stella d' amore

so tender

so bright

yet their apex's sharp

add the sting

to this love

such a wonderful

wonderful thing

in our life

yes it hurts

yes it stings

it pulls sensitive strings

repercussion in its swings

round its harp shaped notes

of pure bliss

and who would think

that all this was the kiss

of the snow

now so white

so pure

oh will it be there in the spring

when the sun with its warmth

has begun

to destroy

the source of my joy

with its heat

all the neat piles of snow

those crystals will flow

in the streams of life's patterns

with minnows and whales

in the sea

to be melted

become

a part of the whole

this beautiful

wonderful

mystical humanity.

Thank you Neonfilm!

Ann of Norway How you know about it, the stopping to reflect and then girded on without a stop: "- just like being in love" - yes lovely comment. LuvAnn

Falling in Love...

Just one little stumble, in the line: repercussion in swings. I think it would keep the rythm better if you added the word [it's] so that it reads repercussion in it's swings. A lovely poem about the part that snow plays, in the scheme of mother nature's plan. Thank you for bringing me the idea that snow isn't just a pain in the arse! Love from your favorite knight! ~ Sir Gee

That was the idea.

Ann of Norway There they were falling in all directions on their way down to pile "snow on snow, snow on snow, in the bleak midwinter long ago" It has been snowing every day this week!!!! Soon we shall be climbing out of the fourth floor onto the top, just kidding! But those with huts in the mountains will have to dig a hole to the door, or perhaps a tunnel like the Inuits. What a white year, and the coldest I have ever experienced for so many days in a row. I love the snow, the perfume of it, the whiteness, the silencing, the cleanness, the glint in the sun and skiing too. Spring will be new. Then Summer will be new. Thank you for commenting on my poem Tom. Love Ann.

I caught sight of your face my Proprietress

Ann of Norway And I had to look above here to make sure Í was where I was, and I was here, and you were here, and it was true that YOU WERE HERE! Thrilled to see you dear Kata! Yes I always love the snow, I hate it when it gets slushy and mushy and wet, but when its just right it so very very beautiful, like love. Sorry about your mornings, is it cold, or does it makes walking or driving difficult? I will take care of the crystals one by one for you Kata; not like the two little African boys who were so thrilled with it that they wanted to take some to town from the mountains, to show their other friends who had never seen it before, they put some in a jar, but ... you know...it melted on the way to their great disappointment. Lovely to see you and to hear from you Kata, from Ann.XO

I've head quite enough of snow snow snow, and winter white white white. However, I am very pleased to have read this love poem and now I have even forgiven winter for being so overbearing a lover of his earth. ;-) ~A

Dear Ann,

I loved this one. I am a great lover of snow, in normal circumstances, but this year I've had an overdose. And the beautiful glittering whiteness has turned hard and grey and kept my proprietress away. Still, a lovely poem. Yours, ~Nina with love
