ON STRONGER WINGS: PARTS I AND II
ON STRONGER WINGS
PART I
Someone’s everyone
I can no longer be
All things to everybody
You fly on stronger wings
You sing
A sweeter melody
I am dust
I am stone
Earth to earth I return
Alone
All bonds are broken
All promises
All goals
When Spirit and Body
Begin t o disconnect
And take different roads
Time and space have no meaning
In this strange limbo surreal.
Understand
No need to hold my hand
Comfort my pain
Soothe my fears
Forgive me my sins
N o energy
No will
As I fade
Like
Embers growing cold
PART I
I can no longer be
Someone’s everyone
I can no longer be
All things to everybody
You fly on stronger wings
You sing
A sweeter melody
I am ashes
I am dust
I am stone
Earth to earth I return
Alone
All bonds are broken
All promises
All goals
When Spirit and Body
Begin t o disconnect
And take different roads
Time and space have no meaning
In this strange limbo surreal.
Speak to me softly
Understand
No need to hold my hand
Comfort my pain
Soothe my fears
Forgive me my sins
I have nothing left to give
N o energy
No will
As I fade
Like
Embers growing cold
STRONGER WINGSPart IIUntil I fly on stronger wings Passing thoughtsMoments blueDeep indigoMade flesh in wordsAndImagesA momentary melancholyCaught in the light of ReasonSeen and uncoveredVisionsOf the mind’s machinationsAndThe body’s failureAsIFall. Once I had wings to fly awayTo kinder placesTo kinder daysAndI will againButI need find my wayAloneAs I wait in hope’s illusionUntil my heart singsOnce moreUntil I fly on stronger wings…
