 Time and Motion scream past
Me
Vertiginously
Like Banshees running wild
Out of control
To cannibalize a soul
Lost and wandering
In a dark and lonely place
No peace my thoughts bring
Lingering  in recollections
Regrets and self recriminations
Nearing my journey’s end
Scenes of yesterday play over again
Ruthlessly. Blinded by illusion
My innocence wrapped in dreams
Fantasy and ignorance
Childhood wings carried me away
From the unforgiving world
Surrounding me
Protecting a Soul
Whatever that may be
From fear of immortality. My heart never did fully understand
All that my mind did perceive
But I always clearly knew the reality
Chasing me
Like Banshees running wild
Out of  control….
