Youth and Driving
Constant crashes all around town
A daily reminder to just slow downFiretrucks blaring all night and day,A car flashes by speeding on it's way.
Distractions of noise, a radio is blaringBad enough drivers, show no more caring.Skidding cars and running lights,Constantly lights flashing the red and white.
Caution ahead, get out and go helpAssess the situation, it could of been yourself.Speeding, no seat belts, drinking and driving
No compassion for others, and safely arriving
.
Many a mistake a driver makes
Not being alert, and now it's too late
Your misguided judgments racing on the road,Has taken a life only 15 years old
Slow down your life, slow down your car,Remember her, she was loved like a beautiful star.
You took your mom's key, not wise enough to drive,
For your actions that night, silenced an innocent life
Speeding up does only one thingNot getting there any faster, what can that bring
Your car is a weapon, mass destruction it isFor you've made bad choices, but you get to still live
You took Mom's keys without a thoughtHad not enough experience for you, has it taught
Sweet little girl who cheered her heart outCan no longer sing and no longer shout
Remembrance of this life, this one sweet loving girlWith all the smiles and her beautiful curlsYour at rest our Rachel, your life not in vainFor speeding in a car is just so insane.
