COLD INDIFFERENCE
COLD INDIFFERENCE
Beyond a stare
Forbidding
There is a soul.
Behind this glare
Of steel and ice
There is a heart
Many times broken
But still alive
Inside these eyes
Of cold indifference
There is love and compassion.
No mystery to me
Just an ordinary creature
Of the Human kind
I share myself with others
But
Others never see
The whole of me.
That is of my own making
My unique history
My singular creation
The essence of my being
Hidden in the silence
of
Cold indifference
Beyond a stare
Forbidding
There is a soul.
Behind this glare
Of steel and ice
There is a heart
Many times broken
But still alive
Inside these eyes
Of cold indifference
There is love and compassion.
No mystery to me
Just an ordinary creature
Of the Human kind
I share myself with others
But
Others never see
The whole of me.
That is of my own making
My unique history
My singular creation
The essence of my being
Hidden in the silence
of
Cold indifference
