BANSHEES AND WITCHES

BANSHEES AND  WITCHES

Banshees and witches

Goblins and  ghosts

Monsters of different kinds

Or

Of the same ilk.

Fear of the night

Cemeteries and Bones

Incantations

Omens and charms

Out of the darkness

Of the mind

They all come.

Death has many faces

That haunt the faithful

And

Faithless still.

The mystery of our own madness

The horror

Of

Eternal night

Brng us to our knees

In fright

This rattles its boney

This rattles its boney fingers and shakes the belfry of our nightmares, taints the courage and shudders the timbers of our built up dreamed security, while the chants and ghoulish howls strike terror into the frames of our beliefs distorting all therein as we totter on the brink of indecision. All that black, blinding and unknown, undiscovered ground, void. My Longobardolino, OOOOH, did my witches picture jolt your mind in the direction of witches,  although I looked a far too happy witch didn't I? I do like the feel of this one, it captures attention and we hang on the words  expecting the next to enlighten us some more.  Very evocative and even eerie, exciting and vivid. YES! Love from your Annuccia
