SAPPPHIRE AND DIAMOND SKIES
BEHIND DIAMOND AND SAPPHIRE SKIES
The sun shone iridescent blue
Through
Leaves of velvet green
Silken rays of yellow
With ribbons of satan flame
And
Night began to die
Again
Fading behind diamond and sapphire skies.
I wonder.
As our own end grows near
Do we begin to hear
To understand
The visions that Nature
Speaks
Of a human kind.
What metaphor this
Then
Clear and pure
Woven in images and dreams
Of
A universal interconnection
All things different and the same
The Night’s Death and Resurrection
