TWILIGHT FACES

TWILIGHT FACES Faces I once knewCome to meGhosts and shadowsOf twilight dreamsMy mind lostBetweenSleep’s insanityAnd Life's  reality Twilight facesFar gone timesRecollectionsIcy steelLike a blade sharp and neatRun through me.And I sinkInto longing. Those years are doneReally never mine to keep.Twilight faces rising deep
from my imagination
In dreams and twilight places

Hey Longo

I don't usually say anything about your poems, mainly because I can never find anything to really criticize. So I just enjoy. But man, this is wonderful. The spare and easy rhythm, the imagery that widens down into depths of feeling from such a simple structure and simple word combinations; this poem of yours seriously rocks. insanity has 1 "i"...just saw that. The haunting light of twilight

The haunting light of twilight, its shadows casting remembered shapes familiar and loved, they steal into your half-awake state and prod you with their poignant presence, this is a lovely memory-music, I could wish they could hear you sing your song for them, we all know that it would move them, and their feelings would be expressed with gratitude to you. You do them proud even in your pain my Longobardolino, Annuccia
