Cross my heart...Hope to die

 My son with a grin
Daddy, I got an A in math
Will I be as smart as you?
Even smarter my dear
Promise?
Cross my heart

My son of six years
Today my teacher said he was in love
Daddy, do you love mommy?
More than anything
And mommy loves you?
Cross my heart

My son confused
I saw mommy kiss my teacher
Does he love mommy too?
Daddy?

I shudder, and suddenly hope to die

Cross my heart...

While waiting for my car to warm up and the windows to defrost, I thought I would look in on your work. I like this very much, [although I'm not happy about the subject. After going through two other marriages before my present [very happy one]. I never saw the end coming. [I mean in the poem]. A really good work! ~ Geezer

Excellent poem breaking

Excellent poem breaking logical conclusions. I love when that happens. ~A Don’t let your victories go to your head, or your failures go to your heart.

Logic...

The title to this is great, I mean at first sight one would think it to be cliche, and it is, but you really brought it round with the content, at least for me... well done! Richard
