life lessons

make a scale for this lesson
no matter how its drawn
watch one end always lessen
when all the weight is gone

it pays to know life's  a bluff
and if you want a tray
being early's not enough
you have to wait all day

growing up you may have heard
the phrase quid pro quo
Im here to tell you, little bird
sometimes the worm dont show

and be careful not to burn
every bridge that you walk
when you hit a u-turn
its yourself that you'll block

Wonderful poem!!!

I like this poem, it speaks the truth and reminds me of one of my favorite songs "Tomorow" by Sixx A.M., I like the last stanza the best... But i don't get the second line in the 3rd stanza...the phrase quid pro quo? ~Rain~
