ON FEATHERED WINGS
ON FEATHERED WINGS SuddenlyA strangePeaceful feelingCame to me.Something insideTook flightInto quiet dreamsNo painNo sufferingNo thoughts of whenMy body will betray me again. I moved gracefullyThrough fields of lavenderPurple and blueThe ones I used to knowSo very long agoTo Roman streetsAncient and newThrough hills and valleysOf the southern Apennines.Under Banyan treesOf the Gallic countryside.Along the coasts of SpainOn the Mediterranean SeaThe shores of Aegean blue-greenAnd acquamarine. The world was my homeAgain.Innnocence rebornEmbraced this tired soulWeak and wornOnce more.On soft feathered wingsI flewTo places I longed to seeTo who I was then. The warmth of recollectionsWrapped aroundA now older heartThat lingers hereStill.
Languishing
To be there
Again
Languishing
To be there
Again
