CRASH LANDING

CRASH LANDING

I’m crashing through
My vertigoIn a tailspinPutting on the brakesAs fast as I can.ButI am  marble and stone Pulled  downRound and roundTo some dark place unknown.I feel my flesh burn as I turnIn circlesOut of controlToThe speed of lightMy thoughts anticipateA revelationThe end to my mysteryI fear rhe  FateI see,A palpitating panicSeizes my spirit and soulI’ll try my wingsOf childhood dreamsAndFly high againNo eternal splatterInto the abyssFor me

Mmmmm

Good poem but I think you should align the text to the left, this makes for easier reading and getting into the rhythm. Couple of spelling mistakes. Baz

I’ll try my wings of childhood dreams

Oh that we could try those wings again, we who over 60 yrs. have almost forgotten their brilliant colours, their newness their power that gave us feet to dance the evenings away and sway into the night with such delighted innocence. And yet, here you too are flying, and twirling using the spirit of those childhood wings to dream but now with other thoughts down, down into the future's dark sleep the inevitable breech of life's ceasing glow, the way we all must go. This has a diving feeling and we spin with you in it heavier and heavier as we go until we reach the goal where the spirit is set free and flies into eternity. You send us on strange journeys into spaces we cannot see but can well imagine, my Longobardolino. With my love Annuccia P.S.This site has a will of its own doesn't it?
