CHILDREN'S FEARS -revised

CHILDREN'S FEARS Children's fearsAndChildren's tearsAre much the same as ours.Suffering and painKnow no  ageCruelty knows  no bounds. An end to joyA slaughter of InnocenceWhat children feelis true and realSeconds of sadnessAn eternity.Listen to what their eyes sayHear the words of a lookThat’s far away.Understand the childStill living in youRemember whenI do.

they live in their imaginations as if they were real.

Dear Longobardolino, So true and we have the child in us still, I give children more credence than many adults do, they have the adult in them all too soon, they ponder and try to understand the world around them and sometimes come up with such logical, although absurd, theories; their minds have their own intelligence, and one unpolluted by the adult world, so far, until it forms, but never stops forming. You remember the little boy painting the blue heaven at the top of the page, the grass green at the bottom and the air white in between. Their reality is different only because their knowledge is undeveloped, it was all perfectly logical, and yet. So with fears they create their own fears, they may be just as absurd as the air between the sky and the earth and yet they have thought about it, experienced it so. Their fears are their own, and can appear in many forms, take place in many odd thoughts as they live in their imaginations as if they were real. And we adults still do this too!! N'est pas? Cruelty is also in all ages mostly due to greed and in the name of progress, fearful aims to my mind. Your Annuccia

Compassionate

I'm glad I discovered this poem of compassion and I look forward to reading more of your fine work. When we encourage each other to show compassion to the inner child or a child that is suffering, we are a source of healing. Gerry Beyond agree and disagree there is a field. I will meet you there.
