AUTO DA FE
Auto da fe
My individual and unique
Humanity
Forged to steel
By years of fire
Some brutal
Some kind
Most of them dire.
Genetically planned obsolescence.
Failure of Creation. I recognize
My strengths and virtues
Progeny of original sin
I survive
That stain I carry within
My soul
Temptation’s call
It is now I begin to see
The insanity of illusion
The pain of disillusion
The waste of it all
As I fail
As I fall.
I recognize
My individual and unique
Humanity
Forged to steel
By years of fire
Some brutal
Some kind
Most of them dire.
Genetically planned obsolescence.
Failure of Creation. I recognize
My strengths and virtues
Progeny of original sin
I survive
That stain I carry within
My soul
Temptation’s call
I rise above my commonality
Searching for the divinitiy
Inside of me.
Arrogance of Individiuation
Lucifer’s Sin.
It is now I begin to see
The insanity of illusion
The pain of disillusion
The waste of it all
As I fail
As I fall.
Not a matter of salvation
No question of redemption
No need for suffering and expiation
I am only
The magnificent imperfection
Of His making
Nothing less
Nothing more
