THE ARTIST: To my sister--edited

THE ARTIST [To my sister]
Fantastic journeys rushingTo places unknown.Shocks of color,Lightening forms. What is it that she knowsThat we don’t knowBringing us to realms Of beauty
And
Insanity
The razor's edge
Of .magic and Imagination. The  holy litany of geometry.
Reality in abstraction.Lyrics of her soul. Her EnergyStilled in space. In time. For all of us to see.Immortality.

Fratello, Joe.

How did you get the artistic inverted commas, well done, a touch of art! Your sister will be pleased that you should want to write a poem about her, I am sure of that. I love the 'shocks of colour' very descriptive of her work they sure do just that. "The holy litany of geometry." They do have a Fauvist/ Roualt-like character, the stained glass window effect. As well as his colours but much more geometric as you say. Immortality is one thing, but:- "Bringing us to realms Of beauty And Insanity" Insanity, I wonder what she will make of that part! It will be fun to hear!!!!! The lilt and style of this is enjoyable too, Annuccia

J.B. Longo-GeremiaYou are

J.B. Longo-Geremia You are familiar with my sister's art. I wanted the style of the poem to match the intensity of her colors and the sharp edges of her forms/

For us all to see. Immortality.

And you have done JUST that Longobardolino, You described the black bold shapes and the geometry of them, at least in the work I have seen, but according to yourself she has other sides that I have not seen, the delicate leaf-like colours of Paul Klee and the flag-like power of those in her latest sales, are in strong contrast. She must have a very strong personality going by her art, as it is unabashed and bold in its movements and colours, one could almost say theatrical, or more pertinently perhaps, operatic. No hesitations, no wavering, straight there in red and black. But as I say she must have some delicately coloured paintings too, I don't know. Your poem does them justice Longo mi, Annuccia.
