TANTALUS-- an existential OR ontological metaphor

TANTALUS

An existential or ontological metaphor
[Depends on how you  read it ]

I can taste the  sparkling colors
Dancing in the stream
They tease and tantalize me.,
One step away and I am there
One step away and I am nowhere.
I feel phantom waters cool my face
And  soothe my soul.
I suffer for an unknown fall
And curse the hour I was born.
Sapphires and diamonds.
Aegean green. *
So clear. So cold
So near.So far

"So clear. So cold
 So near. So far "

Dear Longobardolino, "One step away and I am there One step away and I am nowhere." Here, then not and where is here, and where is not being here, and ..... Samuel Beckett-like. Oh what a gem, what a gem you have sent us here my lovely soul, your presence in the words, though containing maliconnia, is so sparking that the facets of the soul reflect into our beings, the import of these sensitive expressions are like diamonds in the sky of our consciousness, scintillating, psychedelic and wonderful. Dear Longo

Well I have read this and I see the beauty. I enjoyed the vividness of it as well. I think as Ann, a gem. As for the far away, just read this and it will soothe you as it did me. I enjoyed it and I know that another meaning can be read into this poem but I like the way it was written and how it made me feel. Just as it is. Love and wishes dear man and what a way to be teased.
